Product Description

Acd A is the only anticoagulant approved by the US FDA for use in autologous systems. Since it is a citrate based anticoagulant, prevents the clotting of blood by virtue of the citrate ions ability to chelate inonized calcium present in the bloood to form a non-ionized calcium-citrate complex. The separation gel is bio compatible and acts as a barrier between the RBC and the plasma.

ACD-A is preferred over other anticoagulants as it prevents lysis of the blood cells.
